Modern slavery act

Modern Slavery and Human Trafficking Statement

Introduction

This statement sets out the steps taken by Kingsley Tours to understand and minimise the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking within our business operations and supply chain. We are committed to conducting our business ethically, responsibly and with integrity, ensuring that slavery and human trafficking have no place in our organisation or among the suppliers and partners we work with.

This statement applies to the financial year ending 31 March 2026 and has been prepared in accordance with the principles of the Modern Slavery Act 2015.

About Kingsley Tours

Kingsley Tours is an independent UK travel company specialising in carefully planned holidays and escorted tours across the United Kingdom and Europe. We pride ourselves on providing exceptional customer service, carefully selected accommodation, trusted transport providers and memorable travel experiences for individuals, couples, families and groups.

To deliver our holidays, we work with a network of reputable suppliers including:

  • Hotels and accommodation providers
  • Airlines
  • Ferry operators
  • Rail companies
  • Coach operators
  • Local tour guides
  • Attraction providers
  • Travel insurance partners
  • Technology and booking service providers
  • Office and business service suppliers

Although our supply chain extends across a number of countries, we are committed to working only with suppliers who share our commitment to ethical business practices and respect for human rights.

Our Supply Chain

Our supply chain supports holidays throughout the UK and Europe and includes businesses operating in multiple jurisdictions.

As part of our supplier selection process, we seek to work with organisations that demonstrate:

  • Fair employment practices
  • Compliance with local employment legislation
  • Safe working conditions
  • Respect for workers' rights
  • Zero tolerance towards forced labour or human trafficking

Where appropriate, suppliers may be asked to provide evidence of their own ethical policies and compliance procedures.

Risk Assessment

Kingsley Tours recognises that certain countries, industries and services may present a higher risk of modern slavery than others.

We assess potential risks by considering factors such as:

  • Geographic location
  • Industry sector
  • Type of service provided
  • Publicly available risk information
  • Supplier reputation
  • Previous compliance history

Higher-risk suppliers may be subject to additional review before any commercial relationship is established.

Due Diligence

Before engaging with new suppliers, Kingsley Tours undertakes reasonable due diligence to ensure that they operate responsibly and ethically.

Our due diligence may include:

  • Reviewing supplier policies and procedures
  • Assessing country and sector risk
  • Requesting confirmation of compliance with labour laws
  • Monitoring supplier performance
  • Reviewing concerns raised through customer or staff feedback

Where concerns arise, we reserve the right to seek further information or discontinue working with a supplier where appropriate.

Policies, Training and Awareness

Kingsley Tours is committed to maintaining the highest standards of honesty, integrity and ethical conduct throughout our business.

Our employees are expected to:

  • Treat everyone with dignity and respect
  • Report any concerns relating to unethical behaviour
  • Support responsible sourcing practices
  • Follow all company compliance procedures

Employees receive information on:

  • Recognising the signs of modern slavery
  • Reporting suspected concerns
  • Ethical purchasing practices
  • Responsible supplier engagement

Management periodically reviews procedures to ensure they remain effective and reflect current legislation and industry best practice.

Reporting Concerns

Kingsley Tours encourages employees, suppliers and business partners to report any concerns regarding suspected modern slavery or human trafficking.

Reports will be treated seriously, investigated appropriately and handled confidentially wherever possible. No employee will suffer retaliation for raising a genuine concern in good faith.

Measuring Effectiveness

To ensure our commitment remains effective, Kingsley Tours will continue to:

  • Review supplier relationships regularly
  • Monitor higher-risk suppliers where appropriate
  • Review internal policies annually
  • Raise staff awareness through ongoing guidance
  • Update procedures in line with changes to legislation and industry best practice

We are committed to continuously improving our approach to responsible sourcing and ethical business practices.

Our Commitment

Kingsley Tours is committed to conducting business responsibly and with integrity. We believe everyone deserves to work freely, safely and with dignity, and we expect the same high standards from every organisation we work with.

We will continue to strengthen our policies, supplier relationships and internal procedures to help prevent modern slavery and human trafficking throughout our business and supply chain, ensuring that ethical business practices remain at the heart of everything we do.

"At Kingsley Tours, we believe unforgettable journeys begin with integrity, responsibility and respect for every person behind the travel experience."
